Interior Designing

Each time you walk through your front door there should be that feeling of happiness knowing everything that surrounds you here is you, your space and what you have created.

I have realised over the years that my home is my style, my sanctuary and if criticism from others comes then I just let it go. I used to worry about this many years ago to the point where I would change things but I have grown older and wiser and do not let it bother me. We all have different tastes in life not just with homewares etc., but with food, clothing and the way we present ourselves all shows what type of person we are.

Many people think that furniture and accessories have to be a certain style or price to be acceptable for fear that friends or family may not like it. Your style is your own and there is never any right or wrong as to where you place a piece of decor in your home.

Some of us can work with an entire household and make it into a home in no time and others just don’t know where to start. We all possess different levels of skills with lots of things in life and it does not make us any less of a person, it just means that we excel in certain things that others may not.

There are so many factors when creating your sanctuary and making a house a home and depending on the direction your dwelling faces is a huge consideration when choosing a colour scheme for your home. Curtains, drapes, blinds, carpet, tiles or wooden floors can be a daunting and stressful task for some.
